When Joining...
Before you join, make sure you've read all of the rules. Once you've read all of the information, you can create your profile. Your username is up to you. It doesn't have to be your characters' names. When you're officially a registered member, you get to create your first character. Until further notice, the only characters are wolves. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE INFORMATION ON TYPES.
Characters
When creating a character, please make sure you are familiar with the different types of wolves. There are several types including Demon, Fire, Ice, Earth, Spirit and Pure wolves. The password for creating is crazee. PLEASE follow the character example code, OR make sure you have all of the required information.
Role Playing
If you're not sure what roleplaying is, check out some of the threads on the site to get an idea. You may role play in 1st person or 3rd person. (same goes if you're not sure what that means.) You are roleplaying in the character of your wolf. Rules for this are quite simple, so if broken, admins will decide punishment. 1- IC or OOC, language should be clean or moderate. 2- Graphic breeding is NOT allowed. If you think your posts are graphic at all, put M or R in the subject. KEEP IT TO A MINIMUM IF AT ALL. This is not negotiable. 3- Anything other may be descriptive, but if it's gag-inducing, put M in the title.
Pack Lands
There are currently four available packs. There will be more when more members join. Packs alphas are always male, but there can also be an alpha female (alphess, queen, ect.). She also answers to the alpha, but is equally respected by the pack. Fights can happen if a new alpha wants the pack. Members CANNOT powerplay at anytime. The admins, and the members in the thread will decide who wins. If a member does not want to give up a pack, then do not force it. HOWEVER, if you do not respond to a challenge within two weeks because of absence or lack of willpower, the challenger automatically wins. An admin can also decide whether the challenger wins based on the thread.- Land Claims
Lands may only be claimed by males. When claiming the land, posts MUST be between 450-600 words. Any less, and it will not be accepted. If you can't write that many, you are not an alpha. If a female wants land, she must find a mate, or a male willing to let her be half in charge. Alpha Males are always the leaders. Also, when you're claim has been accepted, bio password is crazee, make sure you make a separate thread for pack members. You can put positions, lines, or anything else in these threads.
- Pack Hierarchy
Packs have three mane positions. Alphas, Betas, and pack members. Alphas are, obviously, those in charge. As stated above, the alpha male is in charge. The alphess is second in command. The oldest son of the alphas is automatically the heir of the pack. When he becomes a year old, he is eligible to take over, although it is up to the alphas as to when they let him take over. If the alpha male dies after the heir turns 1, the heir takes over. If the alpha dies before the heir turns 1, the heir goes into the care of the beta male, who become alpha until the heir is a year old.
The beta wolves are at nearly equal status of the alpha female. The beta male is basically the 'vice president' of the pack. Until the heir of the alphas becomes a year old, the beta male has the possibility of becoming alpha. Should something happen to the alpha male before he has a son, the beta becomes permanent alpha, and gets to claim the alphess as his mate, or keep the beta female as his mate, and new alphess. The alphess, in this case, would then become beta female. The beta wolves are usually close personal friends of the alphas. A wolf cannot become a beta unless it has a mate. They become betas as a pair. They are also usually young, so that they can produce many offspring for the pack.
The other pack members are, just that. Just pack members.
Breeding and Litters
NO GRAPHIC BREEDING. Read above for exceptions. Litters are determined by the two members in control of the characters. You may decide that one member roleplays some of the pups, or you can split them. Litters cannot have more than four pups. Sometimes the pups get sick or die, but an admin will talk with you first before any decision is made. One player may not have two of their own characters breed. There are no male/male or female/female breeding here. It's simply not allowed. Sorry.
When females have bred, please wait a little bit before birthing them. Post with them a few times being pregnant. When the pups are born, females cannot become pregnant until the next season change. If they do breed before then, they will not become pregnant.
Staff Positions
Staff positions are very important. If you are, or want to be, a staff member, you must be willing to be active. If you log off for weeks at a time, you will probably not be allowed to be a staff member. If you have one character and never play them, you will probably not be a staff member. Positions are in order as follows: Administrator Global Moderator Moderator These are the three staff positions available at this time. If you would like to be one of the following, message an admin. We will not be accepting new admins until the site is large enough that we need more.
Each staff member can but is not required to specialize in something such as "land claims", "new members", "character bios", ect. Example: underOath specializes in land claims. She is a Land Claim Manager. She moderates new land claims and makes sure everyone follows the rules and meets the expectations. She accepts or denies new land claims.
