A pack? [Nyoka]

Golden eyes scanned the land as Badeya walked slowly amongst the trees. She stepped carefully, avoiding fallen branches and such. Her black pelt matched with the surroundings, her silver markings the only thing showing. She glowed slight gold as she caught scent of prey. Her mouth watered as she looked around for the prey. Thoughts wandered as she caught sight of her meal. She collected herself and walked away from the meal. She couldn't catch the prey because this wasn't her land. She walked abit quicker and let a howl escape her as she looked around for the Alpha. She heard that he needed a pack. She smiled, she could gladly offer him her services as a hunter and fighter. Maybe a mate if he wanted. She swerved around some trees neatly and smiled as the moon shone on her coat neatly. It showed her scars on her skin, giving her a look of being flecked with silver.

Her mighty body slid to a halt as she saw a wolf in the clearing near some dens. He was big, dark, and mysterious. De's breath caught and she thought of how amazing he looked. He seemed to have power and he blended in with his surroundings, giving him an advantage. She wanted to join his pack so she knew she would have to speak to him. She took a deep breath and walked forward, into the clearing in the forest. She looked at the Alpha carefully, the red ring around her eyes showing clearly. I have come to join the Nightmare Forest Pack. I hear you are the Alpha so I assume I must talk to you. She said looking at him. He could easily take her down but she wasn't too worried. If anything she was more worried about being told that she couldn't join.[/color]

Nyoka

Something changed in the air as I walked through the forest, my new home. It was...an eerie feeling to say the least. I knew I was no longer alone. I wandered towards the caves and inspected the small clearing. I wondered who it might be; the wolf who had joined me in my secluded haven of sorts. But, to be honest, I wasn't that interested. The wolf would either want to join, or take over. And though I would fight for the land, neither worried me. I sat near one of the small caves and waited for my visitor. One thing that could be said about me was that I was patient, when I wanted to be. And at the moment, I had nothing else to do. I was alone, and maybe some company could make things a little more interesting. So I had to say, I was almost hoping that it was another male, trying to be alpha. A fight was something to do...

It was safe to assume I was a little disappointed when the female approached me. I heard the slow intake of breath before she walked up to me and spoke up. I turned slightly to inspect her as she talked about joining the pack, and then I looked back into the forest. "You're right; I am alpha of these lands," I said, looking curiously at her again. I shifted my weight and turned to stand facing her. "And you say you want to join this pack?" I asked her. She looked to be...demon wolf maybe? Her pelt was jet black, and her eyes were gold, with the most peculiar red rings around them. She seemed interesting enough. I wasn't one for conversation, but it had been getting sort of lonely around here. I sighed. "Well, you're in luck. I just happen to be looking for some pack members." Eh, not really a lie. But as of this moment, it was true enough.

She heard his words and let a soft sigh of relief out as she realized she was in the right place. His voice sounded powerful, he looked powerful and she let a small smile appear. Well I wish to offer my services to you. She let her words vanish as she thought of what else to say. Her ears twitched slightly as she picked up the sound of a bird in the trees. It chirped and then flew away. Smart bird. Moments passed as silence took over the forest. All was quiet and all she could smell was moss and decaying trees. She wanted to speak but was unsure of what to say. Words passed through her mind as she finally thought of the right thing.

I can be a hunter, a fighter, or a mate. Or all of the above. I am completely diverse. And yes, I am a demon wolf. So let herself glow lightly, and then stopped it quickly. She was happy but not that happy. If she was accepted then she would be extremely happy. Silence fell over them once more as she watched the male. She wanted him to say yes, to make her Alphess. They could have pups, a land, followers. She paused her thoughts. She was't even a pack member yet and she was thinking of pups. She was hopeless. She noted the male seemed to dislike conversation and she realized keeping quiet would help her.

The she-wolf smiled slightly and offered her services. She paused for a moment and explained what she could do. "Well, as for hunting, we'll do that together for now, since it's only the two of us, and we have a better chance together." I paused, glancing up as a flock of birds flew over us. I thought about how nice it would be to have a couple spirit wolves in the pack. But I focused back on the female. "What's your name?" I asked her, out of curiosity. I thought about her other offers. Mate...ha. Well, we'll see if she still offers when she actually knows me. I thought to myself. It always seemed to be the same story with females. Eh, they never stuck around. I was too anti-social or something. Too quiet. I didn't let them know me and that offended them, for some reason or another. Though, something told me this one was different.

We did have one thing in common, though. We were both demon wolves. "We'll see about the fighting when there's reason, but for now, you'll just be hunter. We don't really need much else when it's just two of us..." I hoped that we would eventually have many more in the pack. But I wondered if a pack so large would listen to me. I guessed I would see in due time.
